St. Anthony Community Theater is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization operating on a limited budget.  There will be some basic parts of your costume that you may be asked to provide at your own expense (i.e., shoes, makeup, some clothing).  You will be expected to care for and maintain your costumes, and to help clean up after every rehearsal and performance. Every adult is also expected to participate in striking the set on Sunday, Aug 4, 2019.

Please be advised that, because community theater involves adults working with children, all adults 18 years of age and older will be subject to a confidential criminal background check.

Parents or guardians of elementary- and middle school-aged cast members, who are not members of the cast themselves, will be expected to volunteer in some capacity – supervising children at rehearsals and performances, costume or set construction, props, hanging posters, box office, ushering, concessions, etc.  A minimum of six (6) hours of volunteer work per child is suggested, and will be greatly appreciated.

Thursday May 16, 6-8 pm, Saturday, May 18, 9:30am -5:00 pm.

Callbacks will be held Sunday, May 19, in the evening, as needed and by invitation only.

Portions of the audition may be videotaped and will be used for casting purposes only.

(Whether or not you are called back is no guarantee that you will or will not be offered a spot in the cast.)

CAST MEMBERS will be notified as soon as casting is completed.   A hard copy will also be posted at the St. Anthony Community Center main entrance and online at

St. Anthony Community Theater serves the communities of St. Anthony, New Brighton and surrounding areas.  Whenever possible we will make every attempt to include those from within our local communities either in performing roles or in some other area of involvement with the production.  We will also try to include all family members in some capacity who wish to be involved in the production together. However, casting a show can be very tricky when considering all of the characteristics, abilities and other things related to the individuals being cast; and we must also consider what will be the best combination of individuals in order to have a successful show and a rewarding experience for all involved.
